I am a very experienced primary, secondary and further education teacher and private tutor and I have been tutoring privately since 2018. I qualified with PGCE with QTS in 2012. I have a great deal of experience in teaching all primary subjects, secondary history, GCSE and A Level Sociology and Criminology and I have expertise in supporting students with SEND requirements. My background incorporates extensive tuition experience in all primary subjects including English and maths up to GCSE level.

I previously worked as subject leader for the WJEC Level 3 Diploma in Criminology and built the course from scratch at a local college. I am currently completing qualifications in counselling and mental health as I am working towards becoming a qualified counsellor and will offer counselling alongside tutoring.

I have skills in various areas which I gained from past and current work opportunities, for example, I have excellent preparation and planning experience from my teaching career. I was also a tutor at college and I have experience in UCAS and personal statement guidance. I have also been involved with providing career advice for students, particularly with progression into policing, roles in court and the Criminal Justice System. I am currently working as both an examiner and Moderator for WJEC, which is the Welsh board for qualifications.

In my spare time, I like to take my dog for walks, I read when I can and I love a good Netflix series! I also love to bake chocolate brownies!
